Hey jamdel,
Thanks for the kind words! To be fair, I think that by the time Pearl Jam came on, the wind (breeze, to be honest) had slightly died down too, so I'm sure that had a (slight) effect. But as you say, the volume levels for the Relentless7 set were simply terrible, no excuses there. I know when I used to be gigging, it was always an unspoken rule that "opening bands" always had their "master volume dial" set to 5, and then as soon as the main act came on, it was cranked all the way to 11 (sneaky Spinal Tap reference there)... if that's what the sound dudes were playing at, then they totally buggered up a set that never had a chance to really get started :(

Nice to hear from someone who has actually seen Pearl Jam before... so thanks for the comment :)

Fantastic review Burgo. I agree with every word you've written. I've seen Pearl Jam before and Ben Harper many times (with Innocent Criminals and Relentless7). I'm a massive BH fan - but was very disappointed with the sound quality/volume. Initially thought it was the venue - but the problems were resolved for the PJ set. Couldn't believe the BH set went for under an hour too!

And the first time I saw PJ - they were ok. Last night they were flawless.

Hey Nathan, thanks for stopping by! Agreed on your favourite picks from last night, all of those stood out to me too (I was particularly bummed that my recording of "Indifference" came out too fuzzy to make out).
